Construction Site Ordinance
The Construction Site Ordinance (abbreviated to "BaustellV" in German), which entered into force on 1 July 1998, transposes the European Construction Site Directive, 92/57/EEC, into German law.

These rules were adopted by the Ausschuss für Sicherheit und Gesundheitsschutz auf Baustellen (ASGB) (Committee for Safety and Health Protection on Construction Sites). They support the Construction Site Ordinance and other legislation as well as replacing the Erläuterung zur Baustellenverordnung ("Explanatory notes on the Construction Site Ordinance", as amended on 15 January 1999) [Issue 3/1999 of the Bundesarbeitsblatt ("Federal Labour Gazette"].
Research on the OSH aspects specific to the construction industry is conducted at the BAuA. The Institute carries out projects itself but also commissions projects by public tender, which it then supervises.
A nationwide campaign aimed at evaluating the Construction Site Ordinance, run by the federal states' OSH authorities and the accident insurance institutions.
